Choose by project type first
A project schedule template is useful only when the work sequence matches the real job. Start from construction, installation, shutdown, handover, or aggregate plant work instead of forcing every project into one generic list.
Check the logic before dates
Task dates are easy to change. The harder part is the dependency logic: what must finish before another trade, crew, inspection, or commissioning step can start.
Use templates as starting points
A downloaded template should not become the baseline immediately. Review scope, permits, access, procurement lead times, resources, and handover requirements before using it as a working project schedule.
